He Had A Distinguished Legal And Judicial Career, Along With Writing On Important Subjects.
It is with sadness that we report that Retired Justice Richard D. Fybel recently passed away. He had a distinguished career at Morrison & Foerster LLP, was on the Orange County Superior Court bench for around 2 years, and then had a 20-year tenure with the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division 3 as an Associate Justice. He was president of University Synagogue in Irvine for two years, writing prolifically on judicial ethics and the Holocaust. Co-contributors Mike and Marc argued before him on several cases while he sat on the 4/3 DCA. Our condolences go out to his family and friends; he was a superb jurist and gentleman.
