In The News …. Poor Cal. Bears, They Have To Settle And Pay Some Fees In Memorial Stadium Event Dispute

For all of you football fans (or our normal readers—rah!), we can report that the University of California, Berkeley recent settled a four-year legal battle with Panoramic Hill Association over mainly noise issues involving use of the Cal Bear’s Memorial Stadium. (If you have not been there, it is certainly one of a kind.)

UC Berkeley agreed to pay the Association $75,000 in attorney’s fees to resolve the dispute. As part of the settlement, some limitations in stadium use were placed as far as non-football events. (Another rah!)

If you would like more details, see Carolyn Jones’ April 9, 2010 article on this story in the San Francisco Chronicle, which can be found at SFGate.com.
