In The News . . . . Orange County-Bill Hunt Settlement Pays $660,000 To Mr. Hunt’s Attorneys

As reported by Andrew Galvin in a May 23, 2013 article in The Orange County Register, Orange County is paying nearly $2 million to settle a lawsuit brought by former Sheriff’s Lieutenant Bill Hunt, who was demoted to patrol duty after he lost an election to then-Sheriff Mike Carona in 2006. This case has gone up and down in the lower and appellate courts. How did the attorneys due representing Mr. Hunt? Not bad–$660,000 in the settlement amount to his attorneys.
