In The News . . . Bloomberg Law’s Most Recent Workload & Hours Survey Suggests That Practitioners 45 Years And Older Have More Non-Billable Hours Than Younger Lawyers

Reasons For This Are Not Clear.

            Based on Bloomberg Law’s Workload and Hours survey, conducted from July 27, 2022 – August 19,2022, survey respondents in the 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55,64, and 65+ age groups reported on the number of yearly non-billable hours they worked.  Here are the totals, and no real reason emerged for the results:  149 hours for the 25-34 year group; 195 hours for the 35-44 age group; 278 hours for the 45-54 years old group; 240 hours for the 55-64 category; and 193 hours for 65+ years attorneys.
