Appeal Sanctions: $28,000 In Sanctions To Opposing Parties And Appellate Clerk Was Expense Tally For A Frivolous Appeal

There, the reviewing court imposed these sanctions for a frivolous appeal: (1) $10,725 in favor of one set of respondents; (2) $8,760 in favor of another respondent; and (3) $8,500 to the clerk of the court, representing the estimated costs for the appellate court to “work up” the case.
