     Roseville has agreed to pay $490,000 to settle an anti-gay civil rights lawsuit brought by three police officers alleging that police management fostered a hostile work environment against them.

     What was the price tag of this settlement beyond the payout? According to Jon Brines in a May 13, 2011 post at granitebaypt.com, City spent about $463,000 to defend itself, broken down this way: $413,000 for attorney’s fees, $31,000 for an investigative report, and $19,000 for an information technology staffer to gather emails and other e-documents during the progress of the case.
