                              Anteater statue unveiled. Washington, D.C., March 25. The lowly anteater was immortalized at the Washington Zoo today when its statue was unveiled with appropriate ceremonies. The statue of bronze, six feet long, three feet high, was done by Edwin Springweiler. Recently, U.S. News and World Report released its ranking of U.S. law schools. Here they are:

     (1) Yale University

     (2) TIE – Harvard University and Stanford University (Stanford up one spot from last yr.)

     (4) TIE – Columbia University and University of Chicago

     (6) New York University

     (7) University of Pennsylvania

     (8) TIE – Duke University (up two spots from last yr.); University of California–Berkeley (up one spot from last yr.); and University of Virginia

     University of California—Irvine, which became eligible for ranking, zoomed into the 30th spot.

     In the most recent ranking, U.S. News gave less credit for law schools hiring their own graduates.
